Criminal Voir Dire: Client's Bad Acts - Virtual Course

Some people accused of crimes are not guilty of the crime charged, but they have committed some bad acts – and the jury will hear about those bad acts. How do we prepare jurors for discernment – to receive evidence that the defendant has done something bad as part of the innocence story, instead of concluding “if the defendant did X, then they must have done Y”?  In this interactive virtual course, Harris County, Texas public defender (and longtime TLC faculty member) Eric Davis will lead the small group training to address this common challenge.  Registrants should be ready to participate, in the format of a TLC small group voir dire exercise.

Open to TLC graduates and attendees of at least one prior TLC program.
