Trial Lawyers College

The Mission That Grounds Us

Trial Lawyers College is dedicated to training and educating lawyers and judges who are committed to the jury system and to representing and obtaining justice for individuals: the poor, the injured, the forgotten, the voiceless, the defenseless and the damned, and to protecting the rights of such people from corporate and government oppression.

In all of its activities, TLC will foster and nourish an open atmosphere of caring for people regardless of their race, age, creed, religion, national origin, physical abilities, gender or sexual orientation.

We do not offer training for those lawyers who represent government, corporations or large business interests.

The TLC Difference

TLC trains a new breed of lawyer — a warrior who has the courage to reconnect with their authentic voice and learn to lead from deeper truths, not just polished tactics.

Guided by skilled faculty through intimate and immersive training, these warriors are then empowered to meet their clients at their own emotional truth and advocate from a new level of passion and power.

About Our Team

TLC’s faculty is made up of seasoned trial lawyers from across the country who volunteer their time—and cover their own expenses—to teach what they’ve lived and learned.

They’re joined by licensed psychodramatists and communication experts who help students integrate psychodramatic methods into authentic trial storytelling. Together, they guide you to present from your client’s emotional truth—not by mimicking others, but by finding your own powerful and unique voice.

From staff and alumni to board members and instructors, everyone at TLC is committed to your growth professionally and personally.

Our Mission & Roots

Founded in 1994, TLC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to training lawyers who fight for real people. Guided by a passionate Board of Directors, we exist to elevate advocacy through human connection, courage, and truth.
