Taught by accomplished teams of TLC-trained trial lawyers, behavioral experts, and communications specialists, criminal defense attorneys will learn innovative Trial Lawyers College methods through on-the-feet action methods, not sitting and listening to lectures. Students will learn how to win the hearts and minds of their jurors, even against overwhelming odds. Hands-on, small group work on cases will make newly-learned methods readily accessible in the courtroom. If you want more general information about TLC and our courses, please click here.
This comprehensive 3-week program dissects courtroom procedures with painstaking detail to provide hands-on tools toward achieving justice. Trial skills are only part of being a force in the courtroom. The trial lawyers’ power originates from within. Knowledge of oneself gives the lawyer the capability to know others and to connect with each person in the courtroom including the witnesses, the judge, and the jurors. The power of TLC’s methods come alive through creative, spontaneous, outside-the-box innovations that capture juries and move them to justice. *Please note: Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Admission decisions are made by the board at one time and notifications will be sent within a 6-weeks of the application deadline.
Graduate Courses, available only to TLC graduates, are intensive, one-week programs that focus on advanced trial skills, giving students a deeper understanding of TLC methods. Grad 1 teaches trial lawyers various communication and delivery skills, working on the entire horse, in addition to trial skills. Grad 2 teaches how to structure a case and trial story. If you want more general information about TLC and our courses, please click here.
*Graduate programs are by application only due to demand, with a mix of civil and criminal defense attorneys admitted. If you registered for one of the 2020 Grad courses that were cancelled due to 2020, please contact Nancy Shore (nancy@triallawyerscollege.org) for a registration link to the 2021 Grad courses.
