About "If we are to be successful in presenting our case, we must not only discover its story; we must become good storytellers. Every trial, every argument for justice, is a story." – Gerry Spence

Before you can convince a jury, you must understand the story of your client. If you don't know the story, really know it, and feel it deep within yourself, how can you effectively tell the story to the jury? This course teaches the trial lawyer how to discover the powerful core of the real story of the client's case using the psychodramatic method to win your case. The opening statement is our first opportunity to tell our complete story. Gerry Spence, founder of the College says, “Give me a good voir dire and the right opening statement and, so long as the lawyer retains credibility and tells the truth, the case is already won.” This course teaches you to use unique TLC methods to prepare, develop and deliver a powerfully persuasive opening statement and win. Join us and learn how to bring your clients’ stories to life in the courtroom to win the justice they deserve. Join us at this special format TLC seminar - limited to 30 students.

Travel Information

The Anchorage airport is the most convenient airport for travel to Girdwood. Unlike most TLC courses, the Constellation Regional Seminar does not include airport shuttle in the tuition fee. The student is responsible for making their own transportation arrangements for this seminar.

Alyeska Resort is located just 40 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska in the town of Girdwood. Convenient access is available at the modern Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

From the airport, take the scenic Seward Highway heading south. The Seward Highway was voted America's Most Outstanding Scenic Byway by Scenic America, a national conservation organization, in 1995 and by the US Department of Transportation in 2000.

The Seward Highway follows along the Turnagain Arm with many interpretative rest stops and view points. Depending on the season, it is not unusual to spot beluga whales or Dall sheep from your car window. Take the highway and look for signs to Girdwood, the home of Alyeska Resort. At the Tesoro Gas Station, take a left-hand turn and follow the Alyeska Highway for three miles. You will come to a "T" intersection - turn left and go one mile for The Hotel Alyeska. At the "T", turn right for Alyeska Resort's Daylodge and base area.  Current Seward Highway road conditions.
