This policy tells you how this Privacy Policy may apply to you, what information Trial Lawyers College (“Us,” “Our” or “We”) collect from you, what we do with it, who can access it, and what you can do about it.

This policy is effective as of the date stated at the top of this page and may be updated from time to time to track evolving legal, regulatory, or operational requirements, so please check this policy periodically for updates.


INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT AND CONTROL:

Trial Lawyers College is dedicated to training and educating lawyers and judges who are committed to the jury system and to representing and obtaining justice for individuals: the poor, the injured, the forgotten, the voiceless, the defenseless, and the damned, and protecting the rights of such people from corporate and government oppression.

In support of this dedication, this website has two functions, access for potential students and graduates as well as a member-only section for graduates of Trial Lawyers College.  If you choose to contact us through this website or, as a graduate choose to create a User Account, we collect information about you such as your Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and any other information you choose to provide us in the “Comments” section, or in the registration form used to create an account.

Personally Identifiable Information: This includes your name, phone number, email address, and any other information that is specifically personal to you that you enter into the website. 

Specifically, if you are a potential student and not creating a User account, you may choose to fill out a registration for a program or provide information for us to contact you about our programs through the Contact Us link. As a graduate, to create an account through this website, we will collect: name, email address, phone number, business website, physical address, credit card information, billing address, ethnicity, race, gender, and other information that may be or become relevant to registering for one of our programs, or our own demographic data collection for our own records. 

The only personally identifiable information we collect is information that you chose to provide us. For example, if you click “contact us” and fill out the form, we may collect your name and e-mail address so that we can respond to your communication. We may also collect your e-mail address for our newsletter purposes or to keep you up to date with the courses that we provide. 

We will never ask you for your social security number or password and you should never send such secure information to us through the Contact Us function.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information: Information regarding how many times you visit specific pages of our website, data regarding mouse click history, and your IP address. The website automatically recognizes and stores some information about your “click patterns.”

Cookies: Usage of cookies is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while you visit Our site. We do not collect or track Cookies but search sites such as Google may - please refer to the privacy policy for your specific search engine for further information regarding its use of cookies. This information is automatically collected to improve the Website and services. The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:

Personally Identifiable Information: Primarily, we may use your personally identifiable information for the following purposes:

  • To deliver newsletters.
  • To deliver notification of educational services that we believe may be of interest to you.
  • To complete any transaction or service requested BY YOU through our website.
  • To notify you if we change our Privacy Policy.
  • To contact you in response to an inquiry from you.
  • To put our students and graduates in contact with each out, but this information should never be used to spam our students and graduates or to solicit in any way.

Students and Graduates: Part of the goal of this website is to provide a Directory of graduates so that you may contact each other. Information posted in the Student Directory is available to any other students/graduates of the College. When you create your online profile and add to the Directory, you are knowingly disclosing this information to all other members of our Community (which includes students, graduates, and employees of Trial Lawyers College). If you rather not share your information, please do not add it to your profile. Please note that while it is your right to withhold information, failure to provide enough information for Trial Lawyer College to confirm your student or graduate status may result in your inability to be part of the online Community of students and graduates. 

Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We use non-personally identifiable information to determine how the website can better serve you and to analyze the data about visits to the website. This includes trying to make the website content more interesting for visitors.


HOW WE STORE COLLECTED INFORMATION:

For now, your information is stored on a secure server a locked facility, and maintained by our Website Administrator.


HOW WE SHARE AND DISCLOSE PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

Marketing: We do not share your information with marketing companies and do not use any third-party marketing agencies that would have access to your information.

Internally: This information is also available to all registered students and graduates in the directory, to employees, and to our third-party affiliates such as our website administrator. 

Legal Compliance: There are some limitations to the privacy we can promise you. We will disclose personal information if it's necessary to comply with a legal obligation, prevent fraud, enforce an agreement, or protect our users' safety. We will also share personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable information in order to protect and defend our rights or property, including the rights and property of the Trial Lawyers College, and users of the Website.

Sale of Information: We do not sell your information.

YOUR CONTROL: You may have particular rights regarding your personal data, including:

•The Right to Access: You have the right to learn if your personal data is being processed by Us, including which categories and specific pieces of personal data we have.

•The Right to Rectify: You have the right to verify the accuracy of your personal data and update or correct it.

•The Right to Delete: You have the right, o erase or otherwise remove your personal data.

•No Discrimination: You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising the rights described above.

If you do not want your information stored by us, please do not submit any information to us. If you provide your information to us and then later request it be removed, please contact us at the below email address. If you need to update the information that we store, please sign in to your user account and update your information. If you receive a communication from us and would prefer not to receive such a communication, please notify the sender. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your requests within a reasonable amount of time.

CHILDREN

We do not target our website to children under the age of 16. We also do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from any child under the age of 16 without parental consent. If we are made aware of any such breach, we will delete any information associated with anyone under the age of 16.

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes to this policy, we will post the updated notice on the Website and update the notice’s effective date. Your continued use of our Website following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

INTERNATIONAL USERS

We do not currently provide services to people living abroad, with the exception of Canada. We are a United States-based organization. As such, we do not expect any visits from users under the GDPR, although please alert us if you believe we have collected personal data from someone who lives abroad and ask to have your personal information removed.e
