Tennessee Regional Seminar 2021: Voir Dire
02/19/2021 - 02/21/2021
The Trial Lawyers College Voir Dire Seminar introduces you to a method of jury selection in which you will learn how to identify the danger points in your cases, to reframe them into points of power, and how to approach potential jurors as an inclusive, rather than exclusive, process. You will divide into small groups to work on your own cases where you will learn by doing, not by struggling through endless lectures. Join TLC’s faculty team of trial lawyers, behavioral and communication experts to learn how to become the leader of your tribe -- one composed of you and your jurors -- who together will win justice for your client.
THE SEMINAR WILL BE HELD IN NASHVILLE BUT THIS VENUE HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED AND IS TENTATIVE. Scarritt Bennett Center is a nonprofit educational center and conference and special events venue located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, on ten tree-filled acres. The expansive, historic buildings on campus, constructed in collegiate gothic architectural style are popular venues for over 100+ weddings per year as well as daily meetings, conferences and special events. The lush campus is also home base for a number of educational offerings and community enrichment programs. Drawing on a rich history of community engagement and social activism, Scarritt Bennett Center seeks to maintain an active role at the forefront of social justice issues, with particular emphasis on racial equality, women’s empowerment, intercultural understanding, and spiritual enrichment.
All Trial Lawyers College courses are taught by graduates of the College, who volunteer their time, talents and resources to provide high-quality training not offered in any other CLE program. Because our faculty are volunteers, and are actively practicing in their respective firms, our faculty list is subject to change.
