Warrior Manuscript Submissions Policy and Guidelines:1. The Editorial Board will review and edit all articles submitted for publication. No compensation is made for articles published in The Warrior.
2. The purpose of The Warrior Magazine is to demonstrate the application of TLC methods to daily practice, to inspire our readers, and to promote the College. To that end, manuscripts should be lively, readable, concise, and should tell a compelling story. Sentences should be written in plain English and should avoid legal jargon. Please do not include tables, artwork or numerous citations. These are not intended to be scholarly articles.
3. Prospective authors should submit their articles to TLC Executive Director Laurie Goodman at laurieg@triallawyerscollege.com. Each issue is dedicated to a theme (i.e. Good of the College, Criminal or Civil Law) and Laurie will work with the Editorial Board to ensure your article is considered for the appropriate edition.
4.There is no limitation on manuscript length. Typically, articles are between 6 and 12 double-spaced pages. Manuscripts must be completely typewritten and submitted electronically in Word format as more particularly noted below. Neither manuscripts nor disks will be returned.
5.All citations should follow the style in The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. The author should include subsequent history, including writ or cert denials. Please keep citations to a bare minimum. Citations should be included as endnotes.
6. At the time of submission, please include a short biography and a recent photograph for each author.
7.Unless pre-submission arrangements are made with the Editorial Board, no articles will be considered that have been submitted simultaneously to another publication or that have been published in another publication.
8. Submission of an article does not guarantee consideration or publication for any particular issue. Often articles are selected for issues planned in the future. All submitted manuscripts will be carefully reviewed and considered by the Editorial Board. Authors will be required to cooperate with all editing and style-revision requests made by The Warrior Editorial Board, who will work to operate by consensus with the author. In the final analysis, however, The Warrior Editorial Board reserves the right to make all final, pre-publication editing decisions.
